Cisco 2811 Slot Numbering Tool

The second example, a Cisco 2811 router, features much less information because it has only one module in slot 1 and an adaptor in slot 0. The show diag command returns the following information. Remove slot dividers from HWIC slots on Cisco 2811, Cisco 2821, and Cisco 2851 routers as follows: Reach into the HWIC slots on both sides of the slot divider, and squeeze the two halves of the slot divider Step 1 together. Page 126 All empty chassis slots for WAN interface cards and voice interface cards must be covered with blank panels. The Cisco 2811 router features a console port, an auxiliary port, two Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports, four high-speed WAN interface card (HWIC ) slots, two10/100 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports, an Enhanced Network Module (ENM) slot, and a Compact Flash (CF) drive. Note To install double-wide interface cards in Cisco 2811, Cisco 2821, and Cisco 2851 routers, remove the slot divider. When the slot dividers are removed, slot 0 and slot 1 become slot 1, and slot 2 and slot 3 become slot 3. Figure 7 Interface Card Slot Locations on Cisco 2901.
