Every other slot doesn't impact range. Edit: as /u/Aerodamus pointed out, Stronghold boots give negative attack bonuses (also some defence bonuses, I was unaware of both!) so Leather boots would be the only best choice (still better than no boots as they give a small amount of defence bonus).
